I am a Certified Hypnotherapist. If you have been thinking about hypnosis to help you, please talk to me about it and together we can determine if it is right for you!
Hypnotherapy has been around for over 200 years. Hypnotherapy is very successful in helping clients to make changes that they have been struggling to make. Some of the things that hypnosis helps with are:
- weight management
- smoking secession
- overcome fears
- gain self-confidence
- enhance self-image
- eliminate negative habits
- improve test scores
- achieve forgiveness
- enhance athletic ability
- preparation for surgery
- learn self-hypnosis
- relieve fear of public speaking
- pain management
These are just a few of the things that hypnosis can do for you. If you have an issue you have been struggling with, talk to me about whether hypnosis could help. This is not "stage hypnosis" (like you have seen at parties or on TV) and you will not leave the office clucking like a chicken! You will be aware of everything that is happening while you are in the hypnotic state.
Hypnosis is a state in which you become deeply relaxed (through guided imagery) and when you reach a deep state of relaxation (not sleep) you are more responsive to suggestions. While you are in a deep state of relaxation, the therapist will give you suggestions for the changes that you want to make, or will help you to remember events, places or things that you have forgotten. You will hear all of these suggestions and remember them when you emerge from the hypnotic state of mind. When you are fully alert, you will discuss all that you heard in the hypnotic state and this will help you to embrace the new ideas.
Anyone who struggles with sharing in a therapeutic setting may find it much easier to share their struggles when they are in this more relaxed state.
